Totnes Town Council By-election on Wednesday, 23rd December.

15 December 2015

You may or may not be aware but we're about to have another by-election in Totnes. You won't be receiving a polling card, so put it in your diary now!

This time it's for a Town Council seat and there are two candidates. I'm standing for the Green Party and there is a another chap, Colin MacMahon, standing under the Independent banner, though he seems to have Labour support.

The election is  happening on Wed 23rd December. If you're going to be away, and want a postal vote, you must apply by 8th Dec. This means downloading a form here, printing it and posting/delivering to Electoral Services, Follaton House, Plymouth Road, Totnes, TQ9 5NE.

Obviously I urge you to cast your vote, as an extra Green Party member on the Town Council will give us another fair and sane voice with our concerns at heart, to join Jacqi Hodgson and Robert Vint.

Polling day is Wednesday, 23 December, and residents will be able to vote between the hours of 7am and 10pm at Follaton House, the Methodist Church Hall and Civic Hall.

If you're not sure which one to go to, call South Hams DC elections office on 01803 861434.

If you need to make sure that you're on the electoral roll, go to https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote (you'll need your date of birth and National Insurance number).

And if there's anyone who can spare an hour or two to push leaflets through letterboxes I'd very much appreciate it! Email me: katesermon@hotmail.com
